Monaco’s Royal Heir Reveals Surprising Plans for the Future: From Education to Unseen Bonds

In a candid interview with French magazine Point de Vue, Alexandre Grimaldi, the son of Prince Albert II of Monaco and Nicole Coste, delved into his aspirations and familial bonds. As he approaches his 20th birthday, Grimaldi offers insights into his life, studies, and thoughts on potentially influencing Monaco’s future.

Grimaldi, a college student studying business management at a British university, shared his earnest commitment to his education. He emphasized, “Finishing my university studies takes precedence in my life today.” Reflecting on his journey, Grimaldi noted, “At this age, choices define us. Background and relationships play a role in these choices. I consider myself a reasonable person.”

When queried about his role in Monaco’s future, Grimaldi humbly responded, “I’m only 20 years old. Let me get a diploma and we’ll talk about it.” He spoke of his peers who collaborate with their entrepreneurial parents, expressing optimism about his future prospects in business and management.

Grimaldi’s life story encompasses diverse roots. His mother, Nicole Coste, hails from Togo, while his father, Prince Albert II, represents the Grimaldi lineage. He clarified his decision to embrace his father’s name, saying, “My father’s name is Grimaldi. It makes sense that I bear his name.”

Discussing his mother’s role, Grimaldi shared, “My mother is tender by nature and let a lot of things be said because she was always advised to ‘let the story go.” He reflected on the privacy he cherishes and the importance of his mother’s influence.

Grimaldi’s connection with his half-sister, Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, also emerges. Their bond transcends geographical distance, and Grimaldi emphasizes, “She is my big sister, and I love her like I love my two big brothers on my mother’s side.” He highlights shared tenderness with all his siblings.

While fashion once intrigued him, Grimaldi candidly admitted, “COVID happened, and I ended up losing interest.” As a member of Monaco’s royal family, he contemplated the delicate balance between personal ambitions and public roles.
